No one tells you how much it’s going to hurt just to be human.

We’re born into a world that promises happiness but hands us heartbreak. We lose people we love, face disappointments we never saw coming, and carry wounds that don’t always heal the way we want them to. Even on the good days, there’s an undercurrent of something—anxiety, loneliness, the fear that it could all disappear in an instant.
Suffering isn’t a punishment. It’s not proof that you’re broken or that life is unfairly cruel to you. It’s just part of the deal. If you’re here, if you’re breathing, if you’re feeling—then suffering will find you. But here’s the twist: suffering is also proof that you care. That you love. That you’re connected to this world in a way that means something.
We don’t suffer over things we don’t care about. If we didn’t love, we wouldn’t grieve. If we didn’t dream, we wouldn’t feel lost. If we didn’t hope, we wouldn’t feel disappointed. Pain is tangled up in all the things that make life worth living.
And maybe that’s the point.
Maybe suffering isn’t something to run from, but something to learn from. It teaches us what matters. It reminds us that we’re alive. That we’re here for something bigger than just existing.
So if today feels heavy, if the weight of the world is sitting on your chest, just remember this: You’re not weak because you’re suffering. You’re alive because you’re feeling. And that’s something no amount of pain can ever take away from you.
